BEIA GmbH is a small research and development company in Vienna that works on time-critical Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT).
It has built a telemetry platform in three parts: IoT sensors, a modular cloud back end designed for low-latency processing, and configurable dashboards and alerts. The platform is offered as a service to public and private organisations in Austria and the German-speaking region, with uses in environmental monitoring, energy management, smart cities, agriculture and water quality. The team's skills span AI and data analytics, cloud and edge computing, blockchain, speech and language technology, and hardware and software integration. BEIA takes part in several European and ITEA research projects.
