It has nine faculties. Its Department of Informatics, in the Faculty of Natural, Mathematical and Engineering Sciences, does research in algorithms and data analysis, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, human-centred computing and software systems, and has a particular focus on safe and trusted AI. The university states a commitment to climate action and sustainability. In ITEA it also takes part in work on generative AI for the software development life cycle.
